Brown Real Estate and Auxiliary Housing

The Real Estate and Auxiliary Housing Office is responsible for all aspects of the University’s commercial and residential real estate transactions and operations.

From leasing and managing auxiliary housing to large scale development projects like South Street Landing, we work within the framework of Brown's master plan to manage the development, acquisition, lease, sublease and disposal of real estate.

Residential Real Estate and Housing

First-year graduate students are offered a limited number of Auxiliary-Housing managed apartments located on College Hill, ranging in size from studio apartments to four-bedroom apartments and houses.

Housing for Brown faculty and staff is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The rental terms are a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 1 year (with the possibility of a 1-year renewal).

The Brown to Brown Home Ownership Program is a program designed to sell Brown-owned residential properties to eligible members of the faculty and staff.

Brown's Commercial Real Estate operations are responsible for the development, purchase, sale, lease (as both landlord or tenant) and management of all office and retail real estate in the Brown portfolio.
